Smith

Gallin built out a large, elegant, open-plan office for NF Smith, one of the world’s leading distributors of semiconductor and electronic components. Working with plans from the architects at Vocon, the sweeping design takes full advantage of the breathtaking views seen from the 45th floor at 1 Penn Plaza. The central work area is flooded with brilliant light from all sides. A large eat-in pantry with sleek cabinetry does double-duty as a place to relax or work. Wooden floors gleam below exposed ceilings featuring acoustical spray and oval ductwork. Other highlights include a spacious conference room, a comfortable lounge area, private phone rooms, and a built-in fish tank behind the reception desk. Additional work was done on the elevator lobby, restrooms, and service corridors for the building owner to complete the transformation.
